Zen Shiatsu Therapy Training Course 2006-7

Each year the Zen Shiatsu Therapy Training Program is reviewed to improve the standard of teaching and the calibre of its graduates.
The following is a suggested Study Plan:

First Year
Term 1
1.   Zen Shiatsu 1      24 hour
2.   Meridian therapy 1      24 hours
3.   Ki Healing Yoga 1      24 hours
Term 2
1.   Zen Shiatsu 2      24 hour
2.   Food as Medicine 1      24 hours
3.   Ki Healing Yoga 2      24 hours
4.   Anatomy & Physiology 1 (or Term 5)      24 hours
Term 3
1.   Zen Shiatsu 3      24 hour
2.   Anatomy & Physiology 2 (or Term 6)      24 hours
3.   Tsubo/Moxa Therapy      24 hours
 
Second Year
Term 1
1.   Zen 4      24 hour
2.   Oriental Medical Philosophy      48 hours

 
Students are also required to complete the following:
• Body movement classes - 100 hrs total: Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong etc. (50 hrs Ki Yoga)
• Student clinic - 100 hours within 2 years (commence after completing Zen 2)
• Student assistance - 30 hours assisting a Senior Practitioner within 1 year.
• Student Teachings - One term (25 hours) assisting a lecturer for a certificate course.
• St John Ambulance First aid - 16 hours (An external course to be arranged).
• 2 long Weekend Retreats - Friday evening to Monday afternoon intensives.
• 2 Zen Shiatsu treatments - Treatment & assessment by a Senior Practitioner.
